Sadak 2, marks Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s first home production which has gathered controversies before its release. This movie will also reintroduce Mahesh Bhatt as a director after almost 20 years. The trailer of the movie is already the most disliked video on YouTube. It is said that the movie glorifies Islam and also makes fun of Hindu culture which is causing a stir in the community.
VHS leader Vijay Shankar Tiwari has claimed that the film “hurts religious sentiments” on Twitter. He also calls out Mahesh Bhatt for portraying Hindus in the bad light and appeals action to be taken against the filmmakers. Vijay Shankar Tiwari also mentioned nepotism on Twitter in Hindi that says- “

The movie is the sequel to the 1991 Sadak starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The protagonist of the movie exposes a fake ‘sadhu’. Due to this many people have been trying to boycott this film for demeaning Hindu saints. The movie ran into a controversy when the poster was released last month. The makers of the film including Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, and Alia Bhatt were accused of “hurting Hindu sentiments” through the poster which shows the image of Kailash Mansarovar (which is a place of pilgrimage for the Hindus).
On Monday people were trending #UninstallHotsar on twitter. Angry citizens are encouraging everyone to boycott the film due to Mahesh Bhatt’s connection with Rhea Chakraborty. Sadak 2 trailer is already the most disliked trailer on Youtube ever with more than 10 million dislikes with a dislike rate of 94.88%. Amidst all the havoc, the Sanjay Dutt. Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor the movie is releasing on 28th August on Disney+Hotstar.
