Google removes Paytm app from playstore due to certain violation policies

Paytm, India’s one of the largest digital payments platform, has been removed from Google Play Store App. However other apps such as Paytm Money, Paytm Mall, Paytm for Business and Paytm Instore Orders are still available.

For most of us, pulling the Paytm app off from Google Play Store was a sudden and unexpected move by Google. Google removed the app from the play store on Friday. It has not given any explicit reasons for doing so. It only claimed that the app violated certain guidelines. It issued a statement saying, “We do not allow online casinos/support any unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting.”

According to the sources, Google is in touch with the app developers and they are fixing the issues to bring the app back. Google’s Suzzane Frey said, “We have these policies to protect users from potential harm. When an app violates these policies, we notify the developer of the violation and remove the app from Google Play until the developer brings the app into compliance.”

The people who already have the app installed on their phones will not be facing any problems but new downloads are beyond possibility at this very moment.
